Fox Forks
Here at ProFlow Suspension, we service all types of Fox forks including Fox 32, Fox 34 ,Fox 36, Fox 38 and the Fox 40's. In general we recommend for someone that is riding frequently to service your forks at the start of each spring/summer and then again near the end of summer to make sure they're ready for the winter conditions. If you're riding heaps you may need more frequent servicing. At ProFlow Suspension we use genuine fox parts when servicing Fox forks including seals and oils - unless you have another preference. These parts are included in the price of the service.
Performance Upgrades for Fox Forks
There are a number of upgrades we can add to your Fox fork during the service to improve performance and bike handling.

High performance lubricants
Custom damper tuning
Vorsprung Fractive Kit (FiT4 Dampers only)

Lower Leg Bushing Resize
If the bushings in your fork lowers are tight bushings they will make the fork feel harsh. If bushings are too loose/worn out then the fork will develop play and you'll hear knocking while you're riding. In both of these cases book your fork in for a service with ProFlow Suspension and we can resize your bushings to fit the stanchions better for some slick, stiction free action
High Performance Lubricants
During your fork service you can request for the ProFlow Suspension Tech to use high performance lubricants in place of the standard oils. High performance lubricants have higher viscosity, last longer and perform better under high pressures and temperatures.
Custom Damper Tuning
A custom damper tune is where we re-valve the suspension damper to suit the rider. Dampers are tuned for the 'average' rider which tends to be 80kg and mediocre ability so this tune won't be very suitable for a rider who for example weighs 55kg and rides hard, or a 100 kg timid rider. Custom tuning benefits people who are small/big wanting more performance. During a custom tune we adjust the shim stack in the damper by changing the number of shims in the stack and the size of the shims. This is done in the mid valve, compression and rebound within damper. Adjusting the shim stack will allow oil to pass through more easily for smaller people and add more resisitance for bigger people. At ProFlow suspension we use the Vorsprung Fractive kit for custom tuning.
Air Shaft Travel Change
An easy and cost effective way to fine tune your fork to your riding style is by changing the air shaft travel. Fox forks are designed to work at a range of different travel options, for example a Fox 34 has travel option between 130mm and 150mm.
Volume Spacers
Volume spacers are an easy way to improve the performance of your fork. Adding volume spacers means you can run less air pressure in the fork which makes the beginning of the travel more sensitive helping with small bumps. The middle stroke will be more supple and the end of the stroke will be more progressive and ramp up meaning you're less likely to bottom out the fork and cause internal damage. Volume spacers come in a range of sizes so you can customise your shock depending on what you're trying to achieve - the more spacers the higher resistance to bottom out; smaller spacers will make the travel more linear and allow the rider to use more of the travel effectively. ProFlow can assist you with fork set up to make sure its working how you want it to.
